Il progetto Dumbo Hang Bike nasce con l’obbiettivo di creare un oggetto contemporaneo che rispecchi a pieno il Made in Italy. Il progetto consiste nel re-inventare un’immagine a noi molto cara, che attraverso la creatività, i materiali, la manualità e soprattutto la qualità, possa essere funzionale ed oggetto di design. La sua realizzazione avviene manualmente attraverso diverse fasi: il taglio della lamiera, la molatura e foratura, cucitura a mano della vera pelle ed infine la piegatura finale che è quella che anima questo originale appendi bici. Gli occhi sono gli unici punti ai quali viene fissato a muro attraverso due tasselli.
The Dumbo Hang Bike project was born with the aim of creating a contemporary object that fully reflects the Made in Italy. The project consists in re-inventories an image very dear to us, which through creativity, materials, manual skills and above all quality, can be functional and an object of design. Its realization takes place manually through different phases: the cutting of the sheet metal, the grinding and drilling, hand sewing of the real leather and finally the final folding that is what animates this original bike hanger. The eyes are the only points to which a wall is fixed through two dowels.
